INDIGO
JAPAN DORAKU is a project founded with the theme of ``creating a bright future through the circulation of people and money'' and focusing on the inheritance of Japanese tradition and culture, with social activities as its first priority.
SEILIN & Cosympathized with this project and created a special collection with original brands.
[Design]
This jacket is made with original Sashiko fabric for comfort.
[Material]
Because it uses genuine indigo thread dyed with skeins, it is characterized by slight vertical unevenness. The double weave on the dobby loom gives it thickness and elasticity without being heavy.
The process of dyeing the yarn and finishing the weaving of the fabric are dried without using high temperatures, resulting in a soft and fluffy texture.
Continued to be used as a representative material of BLUE BLUE JAPANWoven Pure Indigo Sashiko. In pursuit of even lighter comfort, this is a new sashiko material created by adjusting the number of weft threads compared to conventional fabrics.
[Details/Silhouette]
It is a type of workwear, and has a single-layered design similar to a bus driver's jacket.
The seam allowance is covered with piping for a neat and clean look. Considering comfort and ease of movement, the armholes and sleeve widths are set to be much wider than a regular tailored jacket.
We recommend wearing it with a T-shirt as an inner layer for a casual style, or pairing it with a shirt for a dress-up style.
[BLUE BLUE JAPAN REWORK]
Handwork such as indigo dyeing and natural dyeing forms the basis of BLUE BLUE JAPAN. Fascinated by its deep colors and the way it grows and changes depending on its owner, we have been developing items using various techniques and methods for a long time.
The REWORK series is a special item that takes a completed product and further processes it to create a new product.
This jacket was created by adding squeezes to both sides and cuffs to de-dye them, and then dyeing them in a unique combination of colors.
Leaving both sleeves diagonally is a difficult technique, but we applied the shibori technique to remove the dye.
We mixed the dyes repeatedly to blend in with the indigo color, and dyed it to a color that blends in with the design.
De-staining is done over and over again, and is carefully done by hand by washing, drying, and then repeating the dyeing process.
BLUE BLUE JAPAN
We started by making things that were sewn together by hand, mainly using indigo, which gives a sense of warmth.
We create items that are comfortable to wear and can be worn for many years, with a focus on ``MADE IN JAPAN'' using colors and materials that evoke the feeling of the four seasons, with a focus on traditional Japanese indigo dyeing.
