Our Story:
The Origin of Indigo
"BLUE BLUE" started with denim shirts produced in the early 1980s.
We pursue the ultimate in simple, basic daily wear, focusing on denim and indigo blue, which change beautifully the more you wear them.
Focusing on work, military, marine, and ivy styles, we develop a basic line that pursues high-quality standard items that will be loved over time, as well as seasonal collections that express seasonal materials, silhouettes, and details.
Honoring Tradition:
Japanese Denim
The development of denim began in the late 1980s. At the time, the mainstream was mass-produced denim with an emphasis on efficiency. As if going back in time, you will be asked to move an old power loom from the 1950s that lies dormant in a corner of the factory. Through repeated trial and error with our craftsmen, we have created a simple and beautiful denim fabric that cannot be mass-produced.
The selvedge denim we still use today is an original fabric developed by researching vintage denim. Using an old-fashioned power loom, we continue to create durable and supple denim by slowly weaving without putting unnecessary tension on the warp threads.
